When I was in 7th grade, the final project of our fiction unit was simply “write a story.” It needed to have a distinct beginning, middle, and end, and it needed to be at least five pages long. Maybe there was something about that project that just clicked with me. Maybe I was 13 years old and a smartass. Whichever it was, I turned in my assignment at 35 pages, and went on to write around 120 more.
I have a BA in English Language and Composition (I just kept writing)
I am a three-time consecutive winner of NaNoWriMo (the only competition is the calendar and yourself)
I’m an avid Magic the Gathering player (whether I’m good or not is debatable)
I live in Minneapolis with my wife, son, and two dogs (Brago and Reya)
